Cookie Policy

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how DELTRIG uses cookies and similar technologies on https://deltrig.com, what each category does, and how you can control them.

It forms part of, and must be read together with, our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. The Service is operated by DELTRIG, a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Rahul Chouhan, of Dakra, Khalari, Ranchi, Jharkhand, India – 829210.

2. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website, which the site can read back on a later request. Similar technologies achieve comparable results by other means: local and session storage keep small amounts of data in your browser; pixels and tags are tiny embedded resources whose loading can be recorded; and software development kits perform similar functions inside applications. In this Policy we refer to all of these together as “cookies”.

A cookie set by deltrig.com is a first-party cookie. One set by another domain whose content appears on our pages is a third-party cookie. A session cookie is deleted when you close your browser; a persistent cookie remains until it expires or you delete it.

3. Why We Use Them

To keep you signed in as you move between pages; to keep your cart and checkout working; to protect our forms and accounts from automated abuse and fraud; to remember settings such as your language, your theme and the currency in which prices are displayed; to remember your cookie choices; to understand in aggregate how the Service is used so we can improve it; and — only where enabled and consented to — to measure the effectiveness of our own marketing.

We do not use cookies to build profiles for sale, and we do not sell the data cookies collect. We do not carry out behavioural tracking or targeted advertising directed at children.

4. Categories We Use

CategoryWhat it doesTypical examplesTypical lifespanConsent
Strictly necessaryMakes the Service work. Keeps your session and sign-in valid, protects against cross-site request forgery, supports cart and checkout, applies rate limits, and runs the automated human-verification challenge that keeps our forms from being abused.Session identifier, authentication token, security token, human-verification challenge, load balancingSession to short-termNot required — the Service cannot function without these
Functional / preferencesRemembers choices you have made so you do not have to make them again.Language, currency, light or dark theme, interface settings, recently viewed products, your cookie choicesUp to 12 monthsRequired where the law of your territory requires it
Analytics / performanceHelps us understand in aggregate which pages and products are used, where errors occur, and how the Service performs, so that we can improve it.Aggregated usage and page-performance measurement, error monitoringUp to 24 monthsRequired
Marketing / advertisingUsed, only where enabled and consented to, to measure which campaigns bring visitors to the Service and to limit how often an advertisement is shown.Campaign attribution parameters, conversion measurement, frequency cappingUp to 12 monthsRequired

Not every category is active at all times. The cookie settings on the Service show what is actually in use when you visit, and that is the authoritative list — a table in a policy document can go out of date; the live control cannot.

5. Cookies That Support Your Purchase

Two things worth calling out, because people ask.

Your cart is kept in your browser, not on our servers, until you check out. That means clearing your browser storage clears your cart, and a cart does not follow you to another device before you place the Order.

Checkout depends on essential cookies. The session and security tokens are what let us confirm that the payment coming back relates to the Order you placed. Blocking them does not make checkout less safe; it makes it not work.

Your downloads and licences are not held in a cookie. They live in your Account, which is why clearing cookies never costs you a purchase — you sign in again and everything is there.

6. Campaign Parameters

When you arrive from a marketing link, that link may carry campaign parameters in its address, describing the source, medium, campaign, term and content. We record those against your visit and, where you go on to place an Order, against that Order, so that we can tell which marketing works.

This is measurement of our own activity, not profiling of you. How the resulting data is handled and how long it is kept is described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are set by providers who support the Service — our automated abuse-prevention provider, our analytics or error-monitoring provider, and, where enabled, an advertising measurement provider. Those providers set and read their own cookies under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read. We engage them under contract and limit what they may do with the data, but we do not control their cookie technology.

Payment. Payment takes place on our payment partner's own page, window or hosted form, and that partner sets its own cookies on its own domain under its own policy. Those cookies are necessary for the payment to work and are outside our control. We never receive your payment credentials — see Clause 6 of the Privacy Policy.

Where you sign in using a third-party provider, that provider may set cookies on its own domain as part of the sign-in process, governed by its policy rather than ours.

8. Your Consent, and How to Change It

Where the law of your territory requires consent, we ask for it before setting any non-essential cookie. We do not set non-essential cookies before you choose, we do not treat continued browsing as consent, and we do not use pre-ticked boxes. Rejecting is as easy as accepting — the same number of clicks, in the same place.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the cookie settings on the Service. Withdrawing consent stops further use of the relevant cookies. It does not undo processing that already lawfully took place, and it does not by itself delete cookies already on your device, which you can remove through your browser as described below.

Strictly necessary cookies are not subject to consent because the Service cannot be provided without them. You may still block them in your browser, and the Service will not work correctly if you do.

9. Controlling Cookies in Your Browser

Every major browser lets you see the cookies stored on your device, delete them individually or in bulk, block cookies from particular sites, block third-party cookies, and clear cookies automatically when you close the browser. These controls are usually found under Settings, in a section named Privacy, Security or Site Settings, and your browser's own help pages explain exactly where.

Browser controls are per-browser and per-device, so a choice made in one browser does not carry to another. Clearing cookies also clears the record of your cookie choice on the Service, and you will be asked again on your next visit — that is the choice being forgotten, not ignored.

10. What Happens If You Block Cookies

Blocking functional, analytics or marketing cookies does not prevent you from buying, downloading, or using anything you have bought. You may have to re-select your language or currency on each visit.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies does prevent it: you cannot stay signed in, the cart and checkout will not work reliably, and our abuse-prevention checks may repeatedly challenge or block you.

We do not restrict access to the Service, and we do not vary our prices, based on your cookie choices. Declining analytics does not put you in a worse queue or a higher price band. There is no such mechanism.

11. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal or a Global Privacy Control signal. There is no settled common standard for how a site must respond to these, and the Service may not respond to them automatically. The choices you make in our cookie settings are what we honour, and we recommend using them.

12. Retention

Cookie lifespans are indicated in Clause 4 and, for individual cookies, in the cookie settings on the Service. Data derived from cookies is retained in line with the retention rules in our Privacy Policy, after which it is deleted or aggregated so that it no longer identifies you.

13. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Policy when we add, remove or change a provider or a cookie category, or when the law changes. The current version is published on this page with its effective date. Where a change is material we will give notice through the Service and, where required, ask for your consent again rather than assume it carries over.

Superseded versions are retained and available on request from [email protected].

14. Contact

For questions about cookies, or to exercise a privacy right, write to [email protected]. Complaints are handled under Clause 18 of the Privacy Policy and can be escalated to [email protected].
